A home away from home for many students, the RS-ITI Library is a quiet and comfortable place to study and explore various books. The library has all the print and online reference materials you need. Our librarians are happy to guide you through your toughest research questions, and the circulation desk is staffed by students who can connect you with the library’s wide range of resources.
Multiple student computing labs are dispersed across campus and provide students access to software and technologies for course related content requiring computer hardware. The student computing labs house Windows and Macintosh based computers as well as a variety of peripherals. Most labs have a dedicated printer for physical output of information (for more on printing, please see our page on Printing for Students). Software and applications range from word processing, desktop publishing, web browsers, e-mail access and more.

A lab monitor is scheduled to be on duty during all hours of operation. Please ask the lab monitor for assistance with any questions you have as to the set up of your account or any questions you have pertaining to software applications.
The computer lab has 40 current Dell computers networked to 3 high speed Laser Printers for lab printing, two Lexis printers for Lexis-Nexis printing. Also available is a quiet room with two stations. Each of these stations can be reserved in advance.
Stations 25-39 are equipped with Zip drives. The Zip drives can accept either 250 mb. or 100 mb. zip disks.
All stations will accept 1.4 floppies and portable USB storage drives.
Station 29 is equipped with a personal printer for use with special stationary and for resume printing.
The lab also has a typewriter (for filling out bar application forms and government job application forms), staplers, hole punch, scissors, tape and other items necessary for memos, reports and documents.
Main Computing Lab
The institute operates a 320 seat general computing lab on the 6th floor of the Library and Technology Building . The lab is open to all currently enrolled RS-ITI College students who present a valid ID card.
At certain times the departmental computer labs listed below are open for use by all Baruch students. However, students who are majors or taking courses in the department have priority in the use of equipment.
RS-ITI is now offering a way for students to view lab availability, open computers (Windows or Mac) and more while on the go. Please visit our new, mobile-friendly site to help navigate the best location to use an open computer on campus at any given time.
